Teams
 

Teams will be formed by blind draw at the Thursday evening draw party. Depending on the draw you will be placed on either:

 
Team Red, captained by Wes Murphy
or

Team Blue, captained by Andy Wildman
 
 
Pairings:

Once teams are drawn each team will arrange their players in order by handicap index. From this lineup the pairings/matches for each day are determined. You will play with a different partner each day and against a different pair from the opposite team each match. 

 
 
Matches:

We will play 18 holes on Friday (1:00pm shotgun start) and 18 holes on Saturday (9:00am shotgun). The 36 holes will be divided up into four 9-hole matches using the following formats:
 

 
Match 1 Friday Oct 6th 1:00pm 9-holes - Modified Alternate Shot Match Play

In this format you and your partner will each tee off, then switch balls and each play a second shot before selecting which ball to use to finish the hole. This match is worth 1 pt.

 
 
Match 2 Friday Oct 6 3:15pm 9-holes - Four Ball (better ball) Match Play

This format is the same as we use for our Old Pals Tournaments and the York Cup. You and your partner will be competing against two players from the opposing team for 1 pt.

 
 
Match 3 Saturday Oct 7 9:00 9-holes -Scramble

 

Standard 2-player scramble format. Each player tees off and the best shot is selected. Each player then plays from the position of the selected ball, continue this process until the ball is holed. Worth 1pt.
 
 
Match 4 Saturday Oct 7 11:15 - Individual Match Play
 

The final match of the event will be individual match play pitting you against your counterpart on the opposing squad. The final match will be worth 1 pt.

 

To make sure the event is kicked off in style, a draw party in the York Grill will be held Thursday evening (Oct 5th) where teams will be drafted and the "trash talking" will begin. It will feature complimentary h'ors douevres and a member charge bar.

 
 

The entry fee is $50.00 per person and it includes the food during the Thursday draw party, the prize purse and a team cap for each player!
